Production Unit Xero (PUX), aka Ramon Mills, is an American electronic musician based out of Portland, Oregon who has been cultivating a prolific catalog of experimental electronic since 2001.

His work spans a wide range of the experimental electric millue, from ambient to hyper edited breaks. This genre bending catalog of over 80 releases has charted paths in both the experimental ambient realms with releases on labels like Spekki Webu’s Optic Portal (Mirror Zone) and Aether Sound, and the IDM and Breakcore adjacent realms with releases on Reactionary Records, Component Recordings, Coma Records, Fukdup Records, and his own imprint, Heterodox Records.

Mr. Mills is an active member of Portland’s vibrant live hardware scene, sharing the stage with national acts Luke Vibert, Daedelus, Ruby My Dear, DJ Skullvomit, Brother Tiger, and The Advent and has been a mainstay in the local scene since 2016 as a performer and promoter.

He also runs the exquisite and stealthy label Heterodox Records – Founded in 2006, Heterodox hosts a fine selection of experimental electronic releases from an assortment of underground programming wizards from all around the world.
